Students Participate in CFJH's Youth Philanthropy Club

Each year, the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole sponsors the Youth Philanthropy Program, where high school students decide how to leverage philanthropic donations to local non-profits. Area non-profits submit grant applications and a committee of students at the high schools determine which applications to fund. The committee at JHCA comprised juniors Jackson N. and James N. and sophomores Ginger F. and Oscar A.
JHCA's students diversified funds from the Community Foundation to fund applications from six non-profits: Jackson Hole Writers, Vista 360° Inc., Teton Raptor Center, Coombs Outdoors, Climb Wyoming, and the Good Samaritan Mission. Jackson and James were also selected for the Future Old Bill’s Award, an award based on leadership, thoughtfulness, initiative, and a charitable spirit in the philanthropy process. Through the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole, they were given an additional $200 each to donate to any Jackson-area non-profit of their choice.

Thank you to CFJH's Director of Grants, Annie Ridell, for her guidance and help!!
